Latest scholarships for international students in Birmingham
As we know there are lots of scholarship for international students you will come across that are offered by the University as well as the UK government. For the University of Birmingham , but today I came across two major ones ,for Graduate level study.
- University of Birmingham Commonwealth Scholarship: “This is available to all international students from countries participating in the Commonwealth Games 2026, who are seeking to study a taught Masters degree at Birmingham in the 2026/27 academic year". I copy pasted this from the University site, it's for the year 2026. But they keep this for every year and majority of the students get it easily and there's no separate application form for it. They automatically make you eligible for it during registration/application for the course, according to their policies.And this is for £3000 GBP which will be automatically deducted from your overall tuition fee.
- Global Masters Scholarship; For this “Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded with a value of up to £10,000 GBP. This award will be deducted from the total tuition fees owed by each successful scholar". This one is a bit difficult to get as only 40 students are awarded. There's a separate application form for it. In which you have to write atleast 250 words on why you should be awarded this scholarship (Basically a short version of your SOP) and your common information. These scholarship are only applicable if you are going for Masters as an international students. There are other scholarships as well applicable for undergraduate level courses, which you can find on the University site.
Also, there are lots of scholarship that your home government (central/state) provides. You should check them as well and apply if you are Eligible for them.
