Argentina scholarships opportunities for the year 2026/27

Argentina scholarships opportunities!

Unlike the anglo system, Argentine Universities do not have campus rooms for students. The university only provides education.
Online applications are available direct through university website

You are free to sign up at anything you want, if the U has it on its plans. You ain’t gonna study paleontology in the University del Litoral nor Agronomy Engineer in a Patagonian university. Each regions has it’s specialties and some provide a basic “Licenciatura” and further specialization must be done in a more dedicated university elsewhere in the country.

The University will require your identity, address, titles, etc for bureaucracy. You can make for free leveling courses, which are to prepare people to face the entrance exams if they are or the classes once on it.

You can have access to a subsidized cafeteria for some food. And apply for subsidies providing proof of family income to access photocopies and other materials.

You have to travel to the house of studies and live on your own outside. Here is the major issue, it is not free. Is free to sign up, is not free at all. If you don’t live in a major city with the U on it, you have to be middles class or rich. Since renting in the city is expensive as f*ck. And you have to provide your nutrition, pay services, etc.
Hence University in Argentina is for free, but it is only for people close to it or wealthy enough to pay for unproductive living.

Or you can get a job, and extend your years in house to 10 years for a 6 years plan of studies and destroy you health and mental wellness. I dropped out from Industrial Engineering. Couldn’t pay to live in the city, had to work, 7 Am to work, to 12:30 PM. Ate fast, took the bus at 1:20/2:00 PM , 2 hours to the city, 30 minutes walk to the Faculty. Classes from 4:30/5:00 to 22:00 PM, walked back, visited a friend that let me eat a fast food bought at the corner of the apartment building. Waited to 12:00AM take the 12:10, back to home at 1:30 AM. Repeat 5 days a week.
Read on the bus, slept on it, and made homework before sleeping.

You can get train a bus passes though. Depending deals between the companies, the University and local city and nearby towns, from 100% for X trips a month to just a discount.

The Universities in Argentina are Federal, they depend on the National State, except private ones.
They get a budget, but are autonomous and it’s direction is elected by vote by the students, which have representation and parties inside. The core of the Argentine corruption and destruction, those people in the student party are there to make politics, graduate and start in a party and made career. Never worked on their lives.
They are our Senators, Presidents, Governors, Majors… Their best work in the college party is to smoke pot, make boards, graffiti, protests, interrupt classes all the time, brainwash people and destroy public property for social justice.

Our Universities neither are a big campus with all the facilities like the US movies. They have a central house where the Rector is (head ot the U) and separated buildings scattered across the home city and even nearby towns for some specialties.
So all engineering, math, the STEMs, are in a Faculty, led by a Decano. All arts, social studies and that worthless useless social ballast crap full of hippies and lefties that don’t give anything to society is in another building in another side of the city, and such.

The Universities only give you free a Licenciatura (4 to 6 years depending career). For doctorates and masters you have to pay, since they are extra.

By the 3er year, high demand careers like engineers can join internships in private companies and get an opportunity of jobs. So if you are a foreign and want to study in Argentina, get to STEM, Argentina needs a lot of them and companies fight for them. The deficit has led that dozens of thousands of European graduates are contracted to work in Argentina due the lack of technical and engineering local graduates.

People here just want to be doctors, lawyers, psychologists, or get some social studies title and get contracted by the state, which is the only one who employs such people, since companies have no use for them.
