Saudi Arabia New Visa strategy for Islamic countries
Saudi Arabia has announced a major visa change for visitors arriving from 12 countries.
The Kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation will introduce new rules for travellers coming in to the country from Turkey, Pakistan, Lebanon and more.
In detail under the new system incoming travellers will no longer need a visa sticker in their passport.
A circular published by the kingdom’s civil aviation authority, GACA, said Saudi visa stickers would be replaced by a printed e-visa featuring a QR code.
The e-visa will replace the stickers for labour, visit or residency visas.
The timetable for phasing out visa stickers in visitor passports from 12 new countries is:

The new procedure is part of the digitalisation of the ministry’s consular services, including work permits, residence, and visit visas.
