What is the speciality of Austria

The main thing about Austria is that it is famous for its castles, palaces and high buildings, among other architectural works. Austria is famous for The Alps, which covers 62% of the country, cities such as Vienna and Salzburg, and classical musicians like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Austria is known for skiing, being the home of Red Bull energy drinks and famous Austrian foods such as Wiener Schnitzel and Sachertorte. Austria's most famous castles are Festung Hohensalzburg, Burg Hohenwerfen, Castle Liechtenstein, and the Schlob Artstetten. Many of Austria's castles were created during the Habsburg reign from the old history.

Living in Austria!

From my research Austria is generally very nice to visit as a tourist. Not so much for living as a foreigner.

One thing about Austrians is that they don’t like germans, italians, slavs. They definitely racist against turks and other ethnicities who look like muslim.

Austria consists mostly of small towns (with a few exceptions). And the standard of living is quite high. The capital Vienna ranks amongst the highest standards of living across the globe. You get a lot of square footage of living space for your money. And it is a very clean 1st world city. Also - if you live in Austria you get to take advantage of a lot of socialist systems. That results in having very few homeless people and thanks to free education a good standard in education across the country.

Now, and this is the tricky part. While nature is beautiful Austria might not offer the career path you wish to have. Take me as an example. I was born and raised in Austria. I do love the country and the people. However, I work as a web developer in experimental advertising. The companies I liked to work for simply weren't located near me. There is always exceptions, and there is amazing shops in Austria as well.  It really depends on what you are looking for. Beautiful country nature wise, living is very affordable. Free education. But, if you work in a niche market, make sure the places you want to work for are available there.

My friend have studied and worked in Vienna almost 10 years. Austrians just don’t like not-austrians. My observation is that, they are obsessed with austrian culture and see it as superior to any other one.

That is true even in with my previous colleagues who I’ve worked over 6 years together. I’ve seen simply many times, colleagues group as austrians and non-austrians when even when chatting, weird… Talking about some arab dude in some very shitty way, who holds a PhD btw.

Language of Austria!

Strange and interesting information is that German is the official language of Austria and an important prerequisite for participating in the working, economic and social life of the country. Croatian, Slovenian and Hungarian are recognised as official languages of autonomous population groups in some regions of Austria.

From couple of companies I’ve seen, the employers tend to pay austrians much more generiously compared to foreigners with same skill level.
